A new worm has been spreading through MSN Hotmail since yesterday. Trend Micro already detects the worm as WORM_ATOMICKS.A.
This particular one not only spreads via Hotmail but also via LAN using ‘net send’ commands enticing the user to download the worm from a particular site.
As usual, standard practice applies, don’t download executable files unless you’re sure of what it really is and make sure you have your pattern updated
Be on the look out for these messages which may be appended on your MSN emails.
