Sony-BMG is now facing a law suit from a digital-rights organization and four law firms for its digital property protection software (which contains a rootkit that hides all files and registry with the $sys$ on its filename).
Moreover Sony’s claim that the software will not harm the user’s system has been compromised when a backdoor malware (BKDR_BREPLIBOT.C)used it to hide itself from infected systems.
